Oh People!

RCY and a few others from the adult team are currently a block away from the college at a coffee shop killing time before we leave on our journey home. Last night, Rizz had the youth team go to the top of Primrose Hill, which is the spot with the best view of the city. He challenged us to think on how the Lord had moved these past ten days and how He is still moving in this place. After reflecting we can see that the Lord has done many, many things here:

He encouraged other believers in London (please pray for these: our sister Grace from the tube, HTB Church, and our Korean brother traveling around the world). He used Andrew and Erik to minister and preach the Gospel to two muslim boys staying in our building (Andrew gave them his Bible- pray it would penetrate their hearts like the Lord does it). He fed the homeless and gave hope to the hopeless. And finally (on the list, that is) He birthed a new church.

He taught us humility here. He taught us how to worship. He taught us how to love. He taught us how to pray.

The Lord blessed us with sweet times of fellowship here, as well. Team 1 fit 10 people into a phone booth while team 2 fit 11 people into one. We ate 10 different kinds of food: Italian, Portuguese, Indian, Vietnamese, American, Thai, British, Japanese, Chinese, and French. And best of all, none of us got hurt.

Our God is a good God. He blessed not only us, but the city of London, and Mark, Lizzie, and the Simas family.

See you all soon,

RCY.

Jesus Loves London

aaronfeeney:

Hey all, I’m sorry I haven’t been posting at all, I’ve just been so tired and worn out and busy to blog. Here are just a couple quotes from the kids and a few youth leaders though that give a brief summary of the trip:

“The more I’m on this trip the more and more I learn that I know less and less.” - Laina Humbles

“I wonder if St. Paul’s has WiFi…” - Kevin Kewley

“We’re just praying that the city of London would be resurrected from it’s spiritual death.” - Myrrhia Reed

“London’s waking up, and it doesn’t have a choice.” - Grace, a faithful Christian we met in the tube responding to the above quote from Myrrhia.

God is good. He’s going to build his church here and London and we’re blessed that he’s called us all- those here in London and those of you back at home- to come alongside Him in His ministry.

That’s a humbling task and we must needs prayer.

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posting, internet is tricky here, and we don’t have a lot of time to update. But here’s a quick update of our trip so far… It’s our 4th day in districts. We’ve done a lot of walking, we’ve seen a lot of things, we’ve done alot of praying. Our teams have been to Regents Park, Southwark, Holborn & The City, Westminster, and Kensington. We have seen where politics happen, 1000 year old churches, we’ve seen a lot! It’s been really cool developing a heart for London, and seeing the kids develop a heart to pray for this city. We’ve gotten to talk to many locals here, witness to a few people, and give many flyers to people for the first service. It’s amazing how good the Lord is and how much favor He’s giving us here.

A few prayer request..

-We’ve been working our bodies pretty hard with little sleep, and little stopping time. Just pray for rest.

-Pray that we would finish strong, and we wouldn’t grow weary in doing good.

-Pray that we would continue to know how to pray for this city, that the Lord would continually break our heart for the things we see in this city.

-Pray for Mark and Lizzie as the church starts in just a few days

-Pray for Reality London’s first service ever, that the people we’ve talked to, given flyers to, prayed for would come and here the Gospel and see the face of Jesus Christ.
